Did you agree with Pounds about keeping the connection to the Dollmaker quiet?

I don't agree with Pounds about much but in this case I believe he is right. If he's wanting the police to notice him and give him credit again then he'll do little attention getting things like leaving the note. These kind of killers kill because of how it makes them feel not because they hated the victim or that they hated their mother...they want attention.

I think he should keep it quiet until Bosch knows what he's dealing with. I agree with Carol that the killer just wants attention and you may draw him out if he doesn't get that attention.

Yes. The media will have a field day once they get on to it. Make them wait!
Plus, there's the damage it'll do to Bosch's court case.

I can see this decision coming back to bite him on the bum. Not sure it’s the right decision but can see why he made it.

We already know someone in the police will leak out the story and tired it to the Dollmaker's other victims.

No win scenario. The dollmaker wants attention. If they try to keep it quiet, he’ll just get frustrated and go public himself. Didn’t they mention he had previously sent some of his notes to the press too?

I agree about keeping things quiet until they are sure it is truly related. Just know that this is going sideways in the trial. Honey is already trying to get the note into evidence.

Yes - they don’t know that it really is the Dollmaker and until they do, as far as the LAPD is concerned, that case is closed.
