No... but he did all that he could at that point. The video date gave Church an alibi. Anything that he asked after that revelation would have looked like desperation. I can't wait to see how he handles that. I believe that the whole trial outcome s going to depend on how Harry comes across to the jurors.

I thought Belk did a good job with Amado. Chandler wouldn't let him explain why there were no DNA tests done, implying skulduggery by the cops (relying only on the stash of makeup to prove Church's guilt - which was obviously planted by Bosch!), Belk totally turned this around so it came out that Church shaved his body - highly suspicious in itself, and giving the jury something to think about. At last, something in Bosch's favour...

>3 Sergeirocks: I hope no one believed that Harry lugged an arm full of makeup along with his gun into that apartment. What did he do drop the stuff on the floor...shoot Church and then leave it all in the bathroom. He had to spend sometime wiping fingerprints off too. Church may not be the Doll Maker but he is certainly an odd duck.

>4 Carol420: If Chandler gets her way, the jury will believe Bosch did just that.
It annoys me that lawyers can go into court with any old made up story; and annoys me even more if the jury buys it!
Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story, 😀.

>5 Sergeirocks: I have always wanted to be on a jury. I've gotten as far as the courtroom five times but no one will accept me because my husband having been a cop. I had one lawyer turn me down because I read mystery & suspense books! Go figure that one.

I thought he did as good as possible by pointing out that Church had shaved his body hair. Unfortunately once the alibi was established for Church it was all going to go downhill.

>6 Carol420: LOL!

I think Belk did do a good job in his questioning of Amado.
>6 Carol420: I was on a jury once for a rape case in Philadelphia and we convicted him. Yes!

>9 EadieB: Good job! I can think of a few other punishments that would have been appropriate. Maybe it's all those mystery & suspense books I read:)

>10 Carol420: Yes! I was happy to witness his guilty verdict!

I thought he did a decent job. The shaved body is the best evidence that they have. Too bad about the family history. Too bad about the tape, he walked right into that one and got the evidence introduced on his own. Ouch!

Evidence certainly seems to be pointing away from Church as the Dollmaker. But his shaved body...and his man cave are certainly suspicious. + the makeup in the bathroom. I can’t believe it was planted there by someone (never Harry)
>6 Carol420:. I gotta remember to let the lawyers know i read mystery and suspense novels next time i am in jury selection. I have a habit of getting into the jury pool for trials anticipated to be more than 6 weeks. So tough to get out of them.

>6 Carol420: Keep away from those mystery and Suspense books. 🤣
I think he did do a good job in this case, especially about Church’s shaving!

>13 bluebird_: >14 Andrew-theQM: It was only one lawyer and I have my suspicions that he wasn't playing with a full deck by some of the questions that he asked. I thought from the look his client gave him that he was wishing that he had been a bit more choosy in his selection or that that the state had been. I have to have my mystery & suspense "fix" on a daily basis so not going to stop reading them. Funny thing was I had one with me...as always...since I knew how long that process could take and wasn't going to be bored by the real thing.

>15 Carol420: Must be an awful thing when get to that stage and think you’ve hired a dud.
17Carol420
>16 Andrew-theQM: I believe it happens more often than we are aware of. If you can't afford an attorney the city/county/state is obligated to provide you with one...nothing says it has to be a "good" one.

I think Belk did a good job with Amado. He was able to clarify the points that Chandler wouldn’t let Amado expand on and added more info as to why Church was likely the Dollmaker. Also, he completely shot down one of the big scores that Chandler thought she had re the pubic hair.

>6 Carol420: don’t wish too hard for it — being on the jury is boring and frustrating. I’ve been on 2 and neither were ones where I felt My time was well-spent.
