“Initially there was a decreasing–interval pattern between discoveries of victims, then it began to vary widely. The Dollmaker would go five weeks between strikes, then two weeks, then three.” Any initial thoughts?

It may have been that the discrepancy in timeline reflected that work of both of the killers and not just one. Bodies were being found and attributed to just one man instead of the two. Does that make sense? There really wasn't a decreasing pattern but it appeared that there was. Serial killing is hard work and even killers have to take a break until the desire strikes that a again. I'm not trying to be funny...they respond to deeply uncontrolled desires so they have "down times." I have this information to thank my husband for since I know next to nothing...thank you sweet baby Jesus...about serial killer's minds and habits.

I think that sometimes serial killers time frames get closer between killings as time goes on but it could be that there are two killers to be considered.

I put this down to the intermixing of two killer's killings.
