Did the Judge and Harry make the right decisions about him answering the key question?

The judge was going to hold Harry in contempt of court if he didn't answer the key question and if he didn't answer it the 2nd time the judge was going to lock Harry up.

No cop in his right mind wants to be in lockup with half the population that he put there. As I said before, I felt really sorry for Harry and I can't imagine that the judge didn't realize what it might mean if Harry did answer the key question. Dammed if he did and dammed if he didn't.

Ultimately, I think Harry had to. He needed to get back on the street and continue his investigation and quickly so that he might get a head start on the info that was going to show up in the media the next day

Harry was forced to answer because of the judge's decision. I feel the judge made a mistake in not giving a continuance. He allowed some of the evidence to come out about an ongoing investigation that might tip off the second killer. It's a mess!

The judge was in the right - he could only make a decision based on legal grounds, he had no other recourse.
Bosch had no option than to answer the question as it stood.

I agree with you all. It was unfortunate, but legally proper.

Agreed. He had to answer the question. The judge should have granted a continuance. But since that was not the case, there was no option other than Harry answer.
