Any further thoughts on Harry’s relationship with Sylvia following him telling her he loved her? Will the relationship continue into future books do you think?

I said earlier that I didn’t think the relationship would last past this book. I think she’s getting a good look at what his job is all about and she’s not going to like it. Plus, she’s going to realize how detached Harry is as part of the dealing with the job and that she will probably never get past that barrier

This is a doomed relationship and I don't see it lasting. Sylvia knows from her last marriage that police work is as much a part of Harry's make-up as breathing is. Harry is a loner and nothing is going to change that so unless Sylvia wants to spent the rest of her life waiting for him to have time for her, or choose her over the job...which is next to impossible...it's over.

She needs more than he can give to her. The selling of her house is going to be the beginning of the end. The fact that he can't talk about his feelings or his life do not help.

Telling her he loved her is only going to make him hurt all the more when this thing ends, (especially if it was her who leaked stuff to Bremmer).

I think he loves her but he can't handle intimacy. It's missing from his DNA. The relationship may last a little longer but if Harry really does love her, he should encourage her to find happiness with someone else.

I can't see this relationship lasting either.

Indon’t think so either...but Harry does seem to be gaining an appreciation of her and is trying to become more emotionally attached. Just not sure he has it in him
