Was it a surprise when Sylvia asked Harry to leave? Did you think this was the end for them?

Not really a surprise since it's been leading up to this almost from the first of the book. They might have worked things out but I think it's only temporary. Sylvia doesn't want a relationship with another cop.

Not too much of a surprise, things have not been going particularly smoothly in the relationship, they seem to have been having trouble communicating with each other.
I think it shows a weakness in their bond which may not stand the full test of time, no matter how hard they may fight to stay together in the short-term.

not a surprise as I didn't expect their relationship to continue - I was more surprised that she came back.

I think things are starting to wind down for Harry and Sylvia.

Not a surprise she left, but i was surprised by her reason. I thought lack of communication and harry being closed off were the issues. Not his being a cop.

>6 bluebird_: I don't think she wanted to be involved with another cop remembering what happened with her dead husband...well before he was dead:)

I wasn't surprised. She has been putting up with a lot and I could tell that she had been unhappy. I did, but I was apparently wrong.
