Were there any ways in which the book could have been improved?

Can't see any. it would have been nice to know where and how Farday fit into the story. Surely he wasn't just meant to search for cigarettes???

>2 Carol420: I was disappointed that there was no tie-up for Faraday, too.
I also think Connelly could have given a tiny hint to make me look at Bremmer. He just never hit my radar until it was too late. Bah!

>3 Sergeirocks: I’d agree totally with these points. I wanted more on Faraday and for him to feedback into the story otherwise why put him into the book. Bremmer needed some more focus and attention. Also all the smoking, just too much!

I also find there are whole pages in that add nothing to the story, which lose the pacing and tension in the story.

I liked the book as is but do agree about Faraday. I guess he was there in order to throw us off and gave us another suspect.

We were fed a string of suspects and as they were eliminated one by one there was no one left but Bremmer. I picked him early on because of how much we were being led to everyone else and how inconspicuous he was, but how much access he had to information. Everyone either spoke to him or tried to ignore him...but he was ALWAYS there.

I agree with you about Faraday. Maybe we’ll get more in a future book

>7 bluebird_: That’s what I was wondering.

as >4 Andrew-theQM: said, lots of pages and details that added nothing to the story.
Also agree with >3 Sergeirocks: there was no lead up to Bremmer - he was just suddenly the suspect. We met him in the prior books where he was helpful to Harry and this just seemed to be out of the blue.

WTF Faraday (Faraway)? Maybe we will see him again and he'll be a lawyer again.
