I just started playing with the APIs. I was hoping to create a virtual stack representing my bookshelves and linking to my book data in Library thing. Kind of like a bookshelf view of LibraryCat. Ideally, I'd store as little information in my own database so there is less to sync. Basically, I was thinking all the book information would come direct from LT and my database would be just "shelf" information. However, the API does not seem to give me access to all the data. In particular, I am looking at the "Other Call Number" field but would probably also be interested in fields such as the book dimensions.
I'd love to help out if possible, though I admit, I am somewhat getting my ass handed to me on the whole library science thing. Doing a lot of studying up on book classifications and call number usage in general. And I thought finding a book in the library could be hard. Never thought about the process of PUTTING a book in the library before!!!

Yeah. Sorry, but the APIs are all in a kind of dormant status right now while we go through some major web site changes. The APIs will get a review once we're done on the web side of things.
