Looking for a book.

Hi I’ve been looking for a book were the main character was always dressing to hide her figure. She would dress older then she was and use a scarf and knot it on her chest. She was attacked by a man and defended herself with a knife and scarred him on the face. I remember that she wasn’t considered very beautiful because she was taller then most women and would dress out to date. I also believed that she kind of trapped her husband to wed her because she helped him and owed her a debt.
