I'm new here! I read this book years ago in the early 2000s. I can't recall the title or author but I remember the general storyline. It's set in England under a made up monarchy. The heroine has multiple siblings that she has to care for since her parents had passed away. The little home she has might be on the lands of a lord. I think one of her younger brothers gets caught with some possible farm animal (goat or sheep) that might've belonged to the lord or it was theirs and the lord's people are accusing their family of stealing. The lord proposes that the heroine become his mistress to make up for the misdeed. Of course they eventually fall in love and he considers marrying her. He even takes her to court. While there, another nobleman (Irish or Scottish) sees her and instantly falls in love with her. He believes the first male lead mistreats the heroine because he hasn't married her. The second male lead then kidnaps her away to his estate and forces her into marriage. Overtime, she learns to love this guy and thinks the first male lead has moved on. At some point the second male lead dies and somehow she ends up going back to her original home again with her children in tow. Eventually the lord's people end up catching one of the kid's with another farm animal. This time the lord himself comes to the home directly since the kid looks just like him. The couple are reunited and he marries her. Also her siblings were all cared for by the first male lead. One of her sisters actually marries his brother. Does anyone know what the title of this story is?
