The original edition spanned 10 volumes and was republished by EP in that format. This one must have very thin paper and flea-sized type.

The 10 volume set should've shipped with a tall black hat slipcase/stand.

>2 jroger1: This edition is by Nicolay & Hay; a follow-up to EP's 10-volume set of Abraham Lincoln: A History... Different cover design and a slipcase thrown in, but not good value compared to the 10-volume set you have mentioned:

Here is a link to a copy it does reproduce, but unfortunately without any photos of the text:

>3 treereader: Perhaps the next Lincoln edition will come with a mini ax-shaped letter opener (or uncut page opener) to honor Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter :D;P...

>4 EPsonNY:
Volume 10 of the previous EP edition was a combination of 2 supplements published much later than the original, and these are apparently missing from the new edition.

I thought seriously about purchasing the earlier edition a few years ago when a seller was offering it for $600, but I decided to settle for Library of America’s 2-volume abridgment instead. https://www.loa.org/books/571-the-speeches-writings-of-abraham-lincoln-boxed-set

EP has done a thorough job in the past celebrating Lincoln’s life and works. I have Nicolay & Hay’s bio that you referenced as well as Sandburg’s 6-volume bio and a few others. Regrettably, this offering is not in their class.
