I seem to keep reading books in the same categories over and over again. Must broaden horizons!

That looks like a good one!

I just got that book, and I can't wait to read it!

Finally, a new one. I just finished A. J. Jacobs The Know-it-All and absolutely loved it. It freed my inner geek. I thought I was the only person who ever tried to read an entire encyclopedia. I failed, but he didn't fortunately.

At last, another new one Peter Maas' The Terrible Hours: The Man Behind the Greatest Submarine Rescue in History. A little dry, but very interesting.

I didn't realize it had been so long. Finally made a foray into logic with Being Logical: A Guide to Good Thinking so I finally have something for BC.

How did you like Being Logical? I think I have that one on a wishlist somewhere.

I've never had a logic class though I've got a grasp on the principles. It was short and to the point, but just a little bit dry for me.

Has it really been over two years since I added anything here??!! I'm adding Jailed for Freedom to JK. A bit dry, but informative. It did confirm my belief that Woodrow Wilson was an over-rated and highly destructive president.

I need to broaden my reading. Just knocked off HE with The Error World: An Affair with Stamps. It's autobiographical about the author's lifelong stamp collecting specializing in errors only to lose most of it in a divorce settlement due to a romantic misadventure. Interesting that the HE category is for transportation and communications.

The first new category in a while BM - When Bad Things Happen to Good People. As I've commented elsewhere, not really useful for rational or non-religious people, but if you are of that persuasion and find yourself being crushed by life, it might just be what you need.

Finally a new one. For CR Gentlemen's Blood: A History of Dueling, I have a peculiar interest in such things, so I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed that one. The bits on Chekov and Andrew Jackson were choice!

It's been a while, but here's a new one,

AM - Collecting: An Unruly Passion by Werner Muensterberger

Probably in this category because it looks at collecting as a mental illness. It could have gone in a lot of categories.
