Pirate Coast

Just got through reading Pirate Coast by Zacks. This book seems to give its reader a true sense of naval warfare during the late 18th century. It also depicts the method in which one became a naval officer, ie. someone of importance had to like you or what you did.

Anyone else read this?

Someone just mooched my copy from me....I put it in the mail today. Ashame, I had a brand new (twice read) hard copy from the History Book Club, but I'm sure it went to good use.
