This book lives up to its name - quick start guide - and is a great starter book for someone who is just learning about finances. It would make, perhaps, a great graduation gift. It is full of all the familiar sayings, adages, bits of wisdom from over the years. What the book is not, is a serious financial advice book. It is a primer in the basics. It might also appeal those happy to have some worksheets and guides that they can download off of the Internet. In short, this is a starter book. It reads more like a magazine than a book, but for the right person, that might be the perfect way to learn how to make a budget, decide how much to spend on rent, or how to save.
