Mini Reunions

There have been some fun mini-reunions on film since the show ended. Let's talk about some of those! Obviously Juno is the most obvious though Micheal Cera and Jason Bateman don't have any scenes together. Did anyone else feel it was kind of weird watching "Michael" adopting "George-Michael's" child?

The other one I found is in Season 2 of Veronica Mars. There is an episode where she's visiting a college. Micheal Cera plays the "tour guide" and Alia Shawkat plays a rape victim. Again, I don't think they had any scenes together though.

Anymore?

I loved Will Arnett and Amy Poehler playing brother and sister in Blades of Steel. Of course, it was genius to cast Will's real wife as "Wife of GOB" in the series. They are great together.

Wow! How did I not know they were married in RL? They were great together. The "loose seal" was genius!

I loved Jason Bateman in Dodgeball. No one else from the cast was in it, but Justin Long was. Since he is from another favorite show that was cancelled, Ed, I consider it a mini reunion for me.

Maybe that is why I don't watch shows very often. The ones I like keep getting cancelled. Oh, well, more time to read and go on Library Thing!

Ed! That was a great show. I think Dodgeball is a wonderful movie, and Jason Bateman is my favorite part. "He will not be able to see well, Cotton."

Juno came out on DVD yesterday! It's so good, and while Michael Cera and Jason Bateman don't have any scenes together, it's totally worth seeing if you haven't already!

I keep seeing Will Arnett's face on rental DVDs, but they don't seem too impressive. Haven't seen him reunited with anyone else yet.

I think i saw Buster in Stranger Than Fiction, which was cool.

I just saw a commercial for satellite dish (I think) that had Stan Sitwell and Wayne Jarvis in it.

I watched Juno last night. It was great! It was just like watching George Michael. Jason Bateman's character was a bit different, though. He could actually play the guitar.

"Downtown" came on my ipod today, and I remembered that was the song Lucille sang to the army guy. Then I realized that was the actor who played Juno's father!

So...probably should have posted this back in July but I forgot! Woops! Anyway, on the mini-reunion front we had Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman back together in "Hancock".

Does the upcoming birth of the Will Arnett/Amy Poehler baby count as a "reunion?"

The pressure will really be on that kid. With those genes he will have to be the funniest person ever!

Let's hope GOB does say "I've made a huge mistake."

I just saw Hancock and forgotten that bib mentioned the Theron/Bateman connection. I didn't even think it was Charlize Theron for the longest time and thought it was odd they cast someone that looked so much like the MRF.

I've got a new one!

In the new Scott Pilgrim movie, Michael Cera plays Scott Pilgrim, and Bland plays one of the evil exes.

Will Arnett and Jason Bateman are doing a series of digital shorts/commercials for Orbit gum. Here's the first one.
