Any idea who the illustrator is?

Based on quick google search and Google's ebook, author did some illustrations himself and some he had borrowed and credited the sources...

I thought they looked familiar

Does anyone know the thickness of these volumes?

And does anyone know if the Dore illustrations are found in other works? Was Dore the exclusive illustrator of this set? I do wish Easton Press would tell a bit more about the products they produce
