These don’t have to be from childhood; just the all-time best.

I just discovered the 2010 Sony commercial where they released 250,000 bouncy balls down San Francisco streets. Here is the entire 2.5 minute film and then ‘the making of’ story:

I've always loved this Texaco ad, promoting their sponsorship of the Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo3tuPcogiQ

Pretty much anything with animals is enjoyable. Except those sad ASPSA ads.

And these: can you tell they are Australian? https://youtu.be/CPYmtEQiG18 Said to have been banned, but I’ve definitely seen them on TV in Oz back in the day.

Some years ago the huge South African Breweries made a serious attempt to corner the beer market in Kenya. East African Breweries, the maker of the popular Tusker brand of lager, responded with an advertising campaign appealing to Kenyans' patriotism with the slogan "My country, my beer". It was so successful that SAB eventually withdrew from Kenya. An example of the TV adverts is here.

Not exactly a commercial, but close enough to share.

I always loved both the genuine Hovis bread ad (1973) and Ronnie Barker's parody of it (1978).

I dare anyone to name a greater tear jerker than the Budweiser Clydesdale ad after the 10th anniversary of 9-11: https://youtu.be/LyP0JsyvYnA

But then I could easily list almost everyone of that ad series here. I looked forward to those Super Bowl "ads" every year.

And to balance things a bit, one that I've also posted in the Green Dragon about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIBszBOGPf4. I think this is about as good as it gets. To quote myself:
It's not only gorgeous to look at, but to listen to: the only sound is that little snip of a Bach cello suite. Pity that the car costs so much. ... But it makes an interesting contrast with an Audi ad (conventional), and a Lexus ad (also conventional) which often run the same evening. The Lexus ad in particular has a voice-over about how you'll impress people and has the usual images of luxury. ... part of the appeal of the Polestar ad is that it has had some real creativity applied to it. Does it remind anyone of the sequence of flying over the strange planet near the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey?
