Does anyone remember Scobie Malone?

I was recently revisiting Geoffrey McGeachin's three 'Charlie Berlin' series of crime novels set in Melbourne from the 1940's-1960's, written about 10 years ago. It made me cast my mind back to the distant past when I remember reading Jon Cleary's 'Scobie Malone' series (published from the 1960's -'80's). Does anyone else out there remember the adventures of Scobie Malone?

I enjoyed reading the Scobie Malones & listening to the Charlie Berlins, which were particularly well-read by Peter Hosking.
