>6 roundballnz: I might add those soon, Alex. I saw Sea of Tranquility is already in paperback in Malaysia but Companion Piece not yet. Isn't it about time that Ali Smith won the Booker?

>7 PaulCranswick: Definitely time for Ali Smith to be acknowledged - though just quietly often think the short list is the place to be rather than the winner 🤓

>8 roundballnz: Well she has managed that a time or four:

Hotel World (2001)
The Accidental (2005)
How to Be Both (2014)
Autumn (2017)

I reckon that a win would bring a smile after four near misses.

Finished The Three-Body Problem great book for those that love 'hard science fiction' full of dense ideas with the background of the cultural revolution. funnily enough reading it now has lot of crossover to the 'undermining of science" we are currently seeing 🤓

Yes i know it took me long enough to get here
