Hello fellow Viragoites!

It's been lovely to see so many following the monthly prompts put up by Jane, and I know I've enjoyed digging into my collection to find a book which fits!

These will carry on during August, of course, but I thought I would put up a thread for our usual annual All Virago/All August reads in case some of us wanted to spend the month focusing even more on our Virago and related reads.

To recap, this month we encourage to read from your Virago collection and also related kinds e.g. Furrowed Middlebrow, Persephone and the like.

So do use August as an excuse to indulge in as many of these lovely books as you like, and tie in with the monthly prompt to cover two challenges in one! Let us know what you're enjoying! 😊😊📚📚

Thanks for the reminder Karen! I never manage to read ALL Virago/Virago-adjacent books in August, but I always enjoy the challenge.

>2 Sakerfalcon: Me too! I don't know quite what I'll pick up in August, but I may choose one of my unread Travellers, as that would fit in with the monthly reads too. Or maybe something translated for #WITMonth. Or maybe even an unread Persephone? We'll see!!

Whoo hoo! I am going to do some Dean Street Press books I have in my 20BooksofSummer challenge and then I'm hoping to finish that and fit in some Viragoes. So watch this space, probably near the end of August!

>3 kaggsy: There are translations among the Virago Travellers so with the right book you could hit three targets at once!

I have three Persephones on my bedside table to read next month, plus a book or books I have yet to choose for the themed read.
