Hello,
I was the initial founder of the LGBTQ/GSM Fantasy & Science Fiction, along with our revered but long-absent Bookwatcher.
Because Goodreads has become more and more unreliable for supporting readers and groups, I'm starting a group here as a means to host a backup bookshelf using my own archiving program that will eventually compare the list from month to month to make sure books aren't mysteriously disappearing.
Why would that be necessary you ask? Good question. Either GR will run into technical issues, or some of the GR main librarians SEEM to censor books due to content or non-traditional sources. Books in these genres can sometimes only be found through these platforms, which means books disappear.
While the last 2 years have been hard, odd, difficult, chaotic, it's probably given everyone plenty of time to read more! But mainly, I hope you made it through OK.
In any event, I invite you to join the group in whatever means you feel comfortable. Perhaps we'll spur some new discussions here.
Happy reading and be safe out there!

Hi Meghan!
Thank you for starting this group. Hopefully we will be as plentiful here as we are on GR :D
I want to say that I can't stand watching GRAmazilla butchering the old GR. It was not perfect, but it had awesome features, it was accepting, it was the place TO BE. I refuse to think that a company as big and powerful as Amazon can't maintain the site in its original form.
Anyway, although I am not new to TLT, I feel like I am flailing. I can't find certain features, some functions don't make sense, there is too much of one thing and not enough of another. That said, can we add a new thread to list helpful links/features/functions?
For example, I came across TinyCat: https://www.librarycat.org/lib/ yourusernamehere
Any other cool features?
