I'm here, still working through To Serve Them All My Days. It's a delight, but I've been too tired most nights to read anything.

New refrigerator delivery took up a good portion of my Saturday, but everything's in place, now.

Made a run to Lowe's (home improvement store) for an electrical plug extender for the shed refrigerator yesterday afternoon, came home with the plug AND three Levolor blinds for the living room. Installed one blind this morning but the others can wait. I'm tired.

Book beckons...

I just put aside The Great Believers aside to focus mainly on The Paris Apartment this weekend. I'm about 100 pages in. Gonna try to get in a little bit more reading in this evening. I'm enjoying it.

Reader Richardson reporting in:

I finished four books:

The Christmas Shop by Jennifer Colgan
A Murderous Grudge by J.M. Roberts
I Must Betray You by Ruth Sepetys
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin

And I got a good start on The Silver Branch, second in Rosemary Sutcliff's Roman Britain series. As for non-reading activities, I took down the last of the Christmas decorations and put out my favorite snowmen and houses. A quiet, winter weekend by the woodstove was good for the soul.

>24 PaulCranswick: I concur with Paul...thanks for keeping this going. As I have fewer responsibilities, I look forward to excuses to just read. It sounds official when I say I am part of a readathon!

Weekend wrap-up

Books read from: Memory of Souls book 3 in the Chorus of Dragons series by Jenn Lyons. Beatrix Potter: A Life in Nature by Linda Lear. I am listening to Countdown City by Ben H. Winters as I did my weekend chores around town.

Books finished in this weekend's Readathon: Memory of Souls book 3 in the Chorus of Dragons series by Jenn Lyons.

Book Thoughts: I did a great deal of reading this weekend, but had little time for being logged on so didn't report. I finished the epic length third book in the Chorus of Dragons series. This series is everything that an epic fantasy series should be. Great fun to read. I also met on Zoom with my book club and we discussed the biographies that we are reading.

Non Book Activities: baked a pecan bundt cake and purchased the wine for the wine club meeting on Tuesday. I have a few groceries to pick up for the pasta dish I am making to go with the wine. Knitting while watching Vienna Blood on PBS.

Time reading: 4 hours
Time posting: .5 hours this morning.
Food: Indian food at the local Indian restaurant.

Total books finished since the Read-A-Thon Began: 294
Total Time Reading since the Social Distancing read-a-thon began: 796 since I started doing the weekend Read-A-Thon back in April of 2020.
