Any thoughts on Janet Powell’s statement that she had met Chris Hobson at 7pm and stayed with him to beyond midnight, leaving him in bed in his flat?

Seems quite believable to me. Convenient for Hobson, but believable all the same.

I believe her story in it’s entirety

Does seem to indicate he is innocent.

How did the police miss this witness the first time around. Looks like she would have come forward at the beginning, unless her "staying beyond midnight" may not have gone over quiet so well with the someone she was supposed to be with beyond midnight instead of Hobson.

I believe that Chris Hobson is innocent of murder. She left for New York the next day and has been away ever since.

she seemed to be a credible witness although she had a few tics while speaking with Wesley that I didn't like - answering coyly and then another a bit arrogantly...so I do think there's more that she hasn't told us.
