Any thoughts on Fred Sommerby? Should the doctor have told the police about the suspected poisoning sooner?

Fred is a nasty bully who terrorised his wife. Poor woman.
Perhaps the doctor could have spoken to the police sooner but, as he told the nurse, he wasn’t certain that this was even a case of poisoning until test results came through.
I do think the nurse could have contacted them with her suspicions however, seeing as she thought the symptoms were the same as those she’d witnessed in her previous job.

There are not enough words to describe this disgusting man, and none I’d wish to use in polite company. I hope the author kills him off 😂 What a horrible existence his wife had.
I definitely feel they should have contacted the police much sooner, informing them about a possible poisoning case. Should have been ultra cautious.

I can't think of any better words to describe him than have already been said. The results should have been reported as soon as they were available.

Yes I think they should have called the police sooner to report what they suspected and say that they were waiting for the results to be sure.
