Any thoughts about the body and the St. Christopher they found at the end of Chapter 4? What about the 14th Century skeleton with a blunt force trauma injury?

14th C body is likely Guy de Munerie, the missing son, whose tomb/monument Neil found in the locked church tower.
I wonder if the St Christopher body might be Barnaby Poulson? We haven’t met him in the flesh, though we have met his tutor, Dr William Verlan.

Even before the body was found the St Christopher gave away they were about to discover a modern day body. As Sergei says it’s a possibility the body could be Barnaby Poulson. Is this what the night caller was searching for to recover and cover up the murder before it was discovered.

The older body might relate to the evil and death mentioned in the diary at the beginning of chapter 3. Definitely foul play but at this stage we don’t know why.

Agree the dated body could be the missing son and the new body could be the intruder form the that came upon the vicar’s body

The injuries to the older body could mean that he was avictim of the violence hinted at in Reverend Shipbornes's diary.

I think the 14th century body was murdered and not died from the plague and the newer body is the one found with the St. Christopher medal.
