Was Sturgeon’s guilt a surprise? Had you suspected Sturgeon at any point?

His guilt did surprise me. Never had him as a suspect. Amy's lover and Adams father never saw it.

I’d sort-of half played with his name when we knew there was a man in the frame for Adam’s father - he and Barry were the only candidates I could think of amongst the characters we knew - but he didn’t seem the type that Amy would fall for, he was never portrayed as anything special.
