Don't eat daffodils

James Wong (2) and his mother pointed out that spring onions and daffodils should not be sold next to each other.

As a kid, I sliced a houseplant stem that looked like celery and tried to convince a sibling to eat it. I put it in my mouth and that bundle of needles was released. I had to visit the ER with my mouth drooling excess saliva.

I don't think I've ever seen daffodils for sale like that. They are always blooming or planted in soil and in the flower department.

That’s why I plant them around my cabin, because the deer won’t eat eat them.
