I think he was killed in order to keep him quiet. Since it happened a year after Marjorie was killed and he was working as a campaign worker for the district attorney I think he posed some sort of threat to an important person in politics.

I agree with Lynda. Fox was a loose end (and more than likely a loose cannon) that needed to be disposed of.

Agreement with all. Clear up the loose ends.

Someone wanted to silence him. Like Carol >5 Carol420: I think we should keep a close eye on the DA.

I think Conklin arranged it - perhaps Fox was asking for money to keep quiet since he was working on the campaign

I agree with you all. Good thought >8 bhabeck:! I also wondered if Fox was trying to blackmail Conklin (or the lawyer). Highly suspicious that he joined the campaign

There’s something I don’t quite understand about this. What would Fox have to gain from working on Conklin’s campaign trail? Is there a lot of money in it?
It seems a strange thing for a pimp (ex-pimp?) to do.

The only reasons I can see is: 1. Conklin/his lawyer wanted Fox there to keep an eye on him. Or 2. Fox joined it to get in their face…Remind them he knows the truth (whatever that is) and wants a payoff.

>11 bluebird_: Thanks, bluebird, I couldn’t understand why a pimp would have become so ‘politicised’ - your suggestions make a lot more sense. 🙂

But then, was he really working on the campaign? Or was that just what was reported in the papers?? I had to re-check and Conklin was who Harry's mother was supposed to meet, so Fox may have been in Conklin's pocket even before his (convenient) death.
