Any thoughts on that phone call to Fox in the early hours of the morning whilst he was at a poker game, a few hours after Bosch’s mother’s time of death?

Fox had something on Conklin and when Bosch’s mom was killed Conklin wanted his name dismissed from the incident as he was running for the position of DA.

He had enough on Conklin to get himself taken off the suspect list.

My guess is that that phone call was a summons to help dispose of Marjorie’s body.

Since Fox was her pimp and would be questioned about her death the cover story was being setup.

Yes, i think Fox was called to help dispose of her body.
