What were your thoughts when Carmen Hinojos started talking about the belt and how Bosch’s mother wouldn’t have worn it with the other clothes she was wearing?

It solidified by suspicion re Meredith. I also thought that was a clever clue that had been right out there when Bosch was going through the evidence box and wondered how I missed it at the time..lol

I totally missed that Meredith had helped Harry buy the belt for Marjorie. And she even said they shared clothes.

>3 Olivermagnus: Me too. I found her conversation with Harry believable and believed in her grief for her lost friend.

My thoughts went to Meredith as the killer for the first time.

I thought this entire passage was a great way to tie up the loose ends and lead Bosch to the killer. Like >2 bhabeck:, I couldn’t believe I missed the detail about the silver belt not fitting with the other gold items! Even though it’s more fashionable now to interchange, back then I was a stickler for all gold or all silver accessories. Shame! And, I still didn’t think of Meredith as a possible suspect. 🤦♀️.

Gold? Silver? Fashion statements? All Greek to me.

Back in 1961 it just wasn't done to accessorize with both gold and silver. Now, not so much, but kudos to Carmen for pulling that little detail together. And >4 Maura49: I believed she grieved for Marjorie's death, but it turns out not entirely just for the death of a friend.
