Why did you think it was 4 hours after killing Melanie that Meredith phoned Fox? What could she have been doing in that time?

Probably cleaning up her face as well as the murder scene. If there'd been a fight between Marjorie and Meredith, the apt may have been a mess. I think she may have also spent a good portion of that time crying and regretting what she did in a moment of rage

I think she really regretted what happened and probably was wrestling with calling the police.

I think that she froze, not quite taking in what she had done.

She went into shock after she Marjorie.
