I've been resisting purchases and ARCs quite well. But yesterday I brought an ARC home: Unladylike Lessons in Love by Amita Murray (pub 5/23; historical romance/mystery).

I’ve been thrifting and going to FOL sales and also went to the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg. The haul this week includes Dali Tarot, Dali Cookbook, Mistress Wilding, Drive-By Shootings, House of Dreams, How to raise and Train a Scottish Terrier, The Green Knight, The End: Hamburg 1943, The Great Bridge, and The Georgics - Folio Society edition (got that one for $1).

Grabbed 2 ARCs:
* No Two Persons by Erica Bauermeister (pub 5/23, contemporary fiction)
* That Self-Same Metal by Brittany N. Williams (pub 4/23; YA historical fantasy set in Shakespeare's era)

And two books bought:
* What Color Is Your Parachute? Your Guide to a Lifetime of Meaningful Work and Career Success by Richard N. Bolles
* Great Jobs for Everyone 50+ by AARP/Kerry Hannon

Bought a book. Yes, I judged it by its cover: The Forgotten Bookshop in Paris by Daisy Wood. Bought another (as yet unread) title by her a while back.

It's great to hear that you've been able to resist purchases and ARCs, but it's also understandable to give in to temptation every once in a while!

>6 LucindaReynolds: I have enough unread books in my apartment to keep me reading for the rest of my life. I'm just trying to be less greedy so the books I already own get read.

And did I mention I go to my local library weekly, too? Gulp.
