Customizing Item Check Out Email

Moving to the appropriate group:

Is it possible to add information to the "Item Checked Out" email patrons get when they check an item out? We mail our books to patrons across state lines, and it would be helpful to add our return address to this email notification.

Unfortunately, you cannot customize the automated circulation notifications that go out to patrons/admins, at this time. I will see if the library's mailing address is something we might be able to (or want to) add as an option, during our next monthly meeting. Thanks for the note!

+1 for this Kristi, even 6 months later. The additional of even a simple "Notes" field would enable us to add and relay often vital information to our Patrons. This would be very useful (and kinda surprising it's not included). But please consider it. Thanks.

It would be amazing if each item had option for customizable checkout notes. These notes would only be delivered via checkout email, and wouldn't be available to for patrons to see otherwise. This would make a big difference when loaning out specialized books, or klutz style creativity kits and the like.
