I've been trying to open/read this book, received today:
https://www.librarything.com/work/29833336/book/237568914
I also won
https://www.librarything.com/work/29833341/book/237569023
and I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen.
I've tried opening in google drive, google docs, two third party apps. Constant crashing. Cannot even scroll down more than a page and sometimes not even that. It's a pdf file and I fire tried to read it in a browser. I would never have entered to win these books if I'd known there would be such a problem. I don't like/don't use googledrive and was planning to delete all data once I finished reading the books.
I'm trying to figure out a way to read these books.
It makes me nervous because the one I'm trying to read is so large it can't be scanned for viruses.
I read ebooks a fair amount (Kindle, Overdrive, Libby, Hoopla, etc.) and have never had this problem. I'm reading a Kindle edition of another book now on the same device, an iPad.
I might try the computer too but can't see reading full length books sitting at my desk.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Thank you.

They are both supposed to be PDFs, according to the listings in ER.
If you contact @AbigailAdams26, she can reach out to the publisher and have them send it in the promised format. You can find her contact email here: https://www.librarything.com/contact

I *might* have done it. Saving it to Chrome downloads.
If anyone has an ideal was of reading these files I'd appreciate any information.
File "too big" to do a lot with it.
ETA: Nope. Page was open but now it's gone and I'm told "Can't open page."
Any help appreciated!

Thank you. I've heard back from Abigail and and she's going to try to get help from the publisher.

>5 Lisa2013: I'm sorry for the trouble you've been having with these PDFs. I'm not sure what the issue is (perhaps the files were corrupted?), but hopefully the publisher will be able to clarify matters. As mentioned, their office is closed until later on next week, so it will take a little while to receive a response.
