No Country for Old Men, 2005

Absolutely. It's well past time for his inclusion in LOA. I have heard from official LOA sources, maybe more than once, that he is under consideration, though I can't remember where I heard it.

>7 mondryle: Yes and it would be a great unannounced appendix.

I would think that rights issues aside, Toni Morrison and Thomas Pynchon would be in the same category as McCarthy. I think Morrison has been vaguely rumored for some time.

I’ve thought for some time that McCarthy has to be on LOA’s short list of most worthy authors to add. (Morrison too) How I hope copyright issues wont be a hold up! That proposed 5-volume breakdown is perfect and I can’t imagine it being improved upon.
