Thank you for stopping by! I joined LT last year to record/track my library as I had reached 5k books (and counting). I am trying to read more books each year to make it through the thousands of books in my TBR piles.

I haven't penned too many reviews, but I am hoping to change that. If you're interested in talking about any of these, feel free to respond! I love talking about books and making new friends!

As you'll see, I read many different genres. I have a special place in my heart for fantasy and science fiction and have a healthy amount of YA as well (for those genres). I recently discovered cozy mysteries and thrillers. I have read a few horror books, but I really don't like gore (think the violent Halloween movies that are out now). I like suspense/ghosts/monsters. I love travel books about the journey (hiking the Appalachian Trail, etc.) and books about books. I also read true adventure, crime stories and other non-fiction. Every now and then I try to read romance (my best friend's favorite genre) but it needs to be at least 80 percent fantasy/scifi/thriller/mystery and only 20 percent romance, lol.

Welcome to the group, Rae! I also read a lot of fantasy, sci-fi, and YA, and am working hard on reading my piles of unread books :) Looks like you're well on your way to 75 already!

>3 RaeCreated: Yes, posting and reading are different hobbies 😂 I usually have three books on the go -- one in print, one on Kindle, and one on audio, so right now I'm reading The Thursday Murder Club, Sherwood, and Love, Theoretically. Lately I've been very into cozy sci-fi and fantasy so some of my favorite recent-ish reads are Becky Chamber's Wayfarers series and Martha Wells' Murderbot books, which are favorites among most group members, I think. My last book finished was Killers of a Certain Age which was a lot of fun.

Welcome! With the Odd Thomas books and Road of Bones, looks like we've been reading similar things. Also a fantasy/sf reader, along with some scary stuff and a fair bit of nonfiction. Just finished The Blacktongue Thief - enjoyed it quite a lot!

I finally got around to updating my list here--I made it to 75!! I'm going to try to keep up the pace for the rest of the year. I have some TBR stacks that may just fall over and bury me if I don't read them soon! lol NaNoWriMo is next month though, so that may slow me down quite a bit. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their books!

Thanks!! I'm really excited. According to Goodreads, I only read 28 books in 2018. I've been working on carving out or finding time to read and I'm at my new record now. When I was a teen I was finishing a book every couple days. I miss those days, but I'm making progress!

I just noticed I never made it back here to update on how the year ended. I just added November and December to my list above of books read in 2023. I was so amazed at how many books I ended up finishing. Hopefully this year will be even better! Now to head over to 2025 and start my thread!
