Any thoughts on the prophecy in the human skinned book about the world ending? Any thoughts whose skin it could be?

Almost every religion has some sort of prophecy about the world ending. So far they have all been wrong. I have no thoughts on the skin book at all.

End of days prophecies seem very common. I’ve no idea whose skin it is. But yuck!

I did initially wonder if it could be Attila the Hun’s skin. Often end of world prophecies can be interpreted in several ways and often don’t tell the end of the world but of other things. They usually play to people’s basest fears. Always good to set a book and a story against a ticking clock!

Didn’t give any thought to whose skin it might be, but like bluebird says, “Yuck”.
Prophecies and conspiracy theories are always good for a storyline…

I've heard about the world ending since...well forever. It used to scare me as a kid.

I have read the Biblical end of the world scenario and have been taught that everything in the Bible is true so I do believe there will be an end to the world but we don’t know when it will happen.
I don’t know whose skin it was but believe it could be Attila the Hun’s skin.

End of days ties in with life and death. Since we all will die our beliefs regarding death prompt reflection . Fear hope or finality? Did not question ownership of skin.

12 What would you even do with a book with a human skin cover? Would you even want to touch it must less open it...read a bedtime story from it...put it on a shelf and dust it... or would you have to put it in the shower?

The date of the book seems a lot later than the Atilla section if I remember correctly. This adds an extra layer of mystery for us to consider even before the plot proper gets underway.
