Any thoughts on heading to Kazakhstan first and spending a day there investigating. Was this wise given they only had four days and it was vital they found the satellite?
2Olivermagnus
They have to start somewhere, I guess.

I don’t understand the importance of finding the satellite. What answers do they think it will provide? To me, it already did it’s job—showing them the snapshot of 90 hours in the future. I think they should follow the lead from the Italians

Time is precious so they need to be careful they don’t waste any time. Difficult to know what is the right strategy so spending a day in Kazakhstan might be the right option. But hey who knows?

That was a long first section, a lot to try to remember. Is Khazakhstan more to do with Vigor’s friend?
While for us readers a visit there may throw up something vital to do with the reason for the catastrophe about to hit the US, Sigma can’t know this to be the case, so I’d have thought retrieving the satellite from Mongolia before the Chinese/Russians get their hands on the secret technology to be of paramount importance.

I have to agree with >2 Olivermagnus:...they have to start somewhere and if I read it right...and Heaven knows I'm not sure what I read...they don't want the "enemy" getting that kind of technology..

This stop off is to gather additional information prior to finding the satellite. They are connected.

>8 JohnDBurke: Sure it will be a worthwhile exercise and will help them to the end objective.

>9 Andrew-theQM: I believe there is a nexus between the comet and the non scientific history of clues

>5 Sergeirocks: This would be top priority for Sigma's superiors. All that talk about dark energy will be spooking them bigtime. They can't risk traditional enemies getting hold of the technology that can potentially trigger that.

>10 JohnDBurke: I think you will be right here.
