Couldn’t have been avoided. Had no fear for Gray; I had faith in his instinct to react in time to avoid a killing shot.

I don't think it could have been avoided either. At least his still alive.

I didn’t have a fear as the main character and his love interest must go on. More adventures to go.

At least she didn’t kill him as she thought he was a korean.

I agree with all that it was unlikely that she would kill him.

They weren’t going to kill off their main character part way through the book. Once a mission is underway all the planning in the world couldn’t predicate against things like this happening.

No way were we losing Gray.
