Without the relic how would they hope to prevent the destruction of the Earth? What next for them?

They will put more clues together from the information they already have.

I think they’ll make their way to Ulan Bator where they’ll find the artefact, now in Batukhan’s possession.

They will find the location of the gold box and obtain the relic and save Eadie’s books and the rest of the world

They would have to go off in search of the relics, I think they provide key clues that they will need. Like Sergei said I think they will need to head to Ulan Bator and hunt down the Master of the Blue Wolves somehow.
