Covers, the ones you hate and love!

I feel like we've had this topic up on here before but I guess not . . .

Anyways What book covers do you guys love?

What ones do you hate?

What ones completely misrepresent the book?

and anything else you have to say on the topic!

I hate to say it, but a lot of times I pick out a book based on the cover (I know its bad, but I can't help it!) I was recently punished for this though, when I read Beauty by Nancy Butcher, the cover was gorgeous but I just barely managed to bring myself to finish the book-it was painful. I also love the book What My Mother Doesn't Know but when the main character is finally described it doesn't look a thing like her. Hmm...I also love Annette Curtis Klause but I hate her covers.

Who says you can't judge a book by its cover?

I like plain covers that don't give anything away.
Just like to don't like to watch movie trailers before I go to see the movie.
Maybe it's just that I like the element of surprise...

courtney!
the best part of the entire movie is the trailer!

no way, man!

i especially hate trailers for scary movies -- they always give away all the scary parts, and it ruins the moobie!

(you can't deny my logic.)

Uh I'm with Courtney on this one movie trailers aren't good to watch although I do so I know weather or not to see the movie but I don't like to watch "Next Week on " or watch DVD menus. Or read book summaries . . . Thats what Bree is for!

20% of men are Chinese? Who knew? Who knows if that statistic that I randomly got out of a white guys rape song is true?

Hmmm....
Did you know that 20% of the worlds population lives in Tokyo, Japan?
And that interest and unemployment rates are the lowest they have ever been since before President Carter?

I'm very smart today..
