Chloe turns up at the house whilst Ruth and Nelson are stuck in the outhouse with the dog. She says she has never seen the dog before. Do you believe her? What are your thoughts about her now?

I think both Chloe and Paul are lying about the dog for some reason that I don’t understand.

I don't know how she could have visited the farm and not seen the dog. She was slightly more believable in her denial than her brother.

To be honest, I don’t know what to think. I don’t know what she’d gain by lying about the dog…?

Don’t get what’s going on with this dog. Was it a way at getting back at the father? Not convinced Chloe is involved with the dog but why was she opening the outhouse? At this stage I did not have massive suspicions of her but some minor ones thinking she was the reason for the fight at school.

She hadn’t been on my radar until this thing with the dog. Both she and Paul are lying about it, and I cannot figure out why. Maybe they were using the dog as some kind of warning to their father, but don’t have any theories.

Don't believe her she is dodgy at best totally guilty at worst.

>6 bluebird_: Agreed. But here's my thing with the dog (whom Chloe has obviously been feeding so she has visited more than she says she has): if their father hates animals, how is there a full-grown, well-fed, people-oriented Rottweiler mix who knows his job is guarding against strangers, that has survived all this time in this family?
