Any thoughts of the whispered conversation between Troy and David when they were on the boat with Ruth and the girls? Should Ruth have told Nelson about this conversation?

Yes Ruth should tell Nelson about the conversation as it does make David look suspicious.

I didn't know what they could be referring to but Ruth should definitely tell Nelson.

I don’t know what they’d have to hide, but Ruth had to pass on what she heard.

Ruth had to pass the information on, but it did make me worry about Ruth and could make her vulnerable. It does increase the suspicion around David.

She did the right thing by telling Nelson. The fact they had the conversation when Ruth was on the boat actually makes me think it less likely David is a killer. I still think he is involved somehow—maybe in the illegal trial. But he’s dropped down my suspect list for the killer.

Overhearing this conversation definitely put Ruth into a bind. I can't decide if she should have told Nelson, knowing he would act on the information which meant that David would know that he cannot trust Ruth.
