I’m going to rate the book as a 5 star because Elly Griffiths is a great writer and I have loved every one of her books.

I’m going for 4★s. I find Ruth annoying at times.

I am giving it a 4. I felt like it meandered a bit too long. But I loved the Ruth/Michelle interaction. And more Cathbad.

4 stars for me. Not a fan of either David or Ruth, but loved seeing more of Cathbad and Judy. Also loved we got to see a new side of Michelle.
As always, thanks to Andrew for providing great auestions, and thanks to all for participating

Always enjoy this series. Rating 4.75

A good read but like others I feel it became a bit too staccato for me towards the end, so that has affected my rating. Finishing with a rating of 4.25.

4.5 for me it kept me engaged and guessing. I became a fan of the series after Lantern Men and will continue to be so.

There are still some people to post their scores who may still be finishing the book, but currently the overall rating is 4.36.
I will update this when any other scores are posted.

>9 Andrew-theQM: I sent Threadsong an IM asking her to let me know what her rating was for the book...but haven't heard from her yet. She's the only one that I'm lacking. She might not be finished, or she could be traveling.

>10 Carol420: She might still be reading it, she tends to access Librarything at the weekend.

>10 Carol420: >11 Andrew-theQM: Thank you both! Yes, I was finally able to finish it last night and send a message to Carol. My final rating was 4 1/2. I like how Ruth is not the most likable character in the book (if that makes sense) and really enjoyed reading more about Norfolk and the lore from the era. Like the Lantern Men from the previous book. Loved hanging out with Cathbad and Judy, too.
