Hello friends, I am new to LT and this group. I'm rereading HP for the first time since I was a child. Reading this now as an adult, I'm surprised to learn how much I love Mr. Weasley when before I paid him no mind at all.

I love his interactions with Harry and how he adopts a bit of a father-figure role in the earlier books. I also really appreciate his love for his wife and children. Probably one of my favorite characters! What do you guys think?

J. K. Considered killing him off. I’m so glad she didn’t.

>2 varielle: Have you guys read “Manacled” by SanLeYu? It’s fan fic but oh so good. It was both an absolute torture and bliss. The Weasleys do not come off well in this non canon version of post war events. BUT, I highly recommend it.

I do love how Mr. Weasley is a great father figure for Harry. I keep meaning to do a series reread soon, but there are so many books in the world...
