Count me in although I can only due Friday-Monday as I teach a class beginning on Tuesday and will probably have first day exhaustion and loose ends to tidy up.

I am in too (at least as much as I can be!) We are going out of town on the second so highly unlikely I will get any reading done then.

I'm reading this weekend. I am trying to get through Study for Obedience - it is very depressing-although the prose is really good.
8ChrisG1
I'm in - just finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy, and will begin Dead Man's Walk by Larry McMurtry.
9avatiakh
Still reading The Moonspinners and enjoying it. I vaguely recollect seeing the Hayley Mills movie when I was young, probably on tv.
I have to go out and will be listening to my audiobook Shogun with 11 hours left it's unlikely that I'll finish this before New Year.

I'm in! My company left this afternoon so I'll have more time for reading now, if I feel like it. I've got a lingering cold and I tend to binge watch BritBox and Acorn when I'm sick.
11annushka
I'm in! Finished listening His and Hers by Alice Feeney. Started Thank You for Listening. Hoping to finish The Bookseller of Inverness this year.

10p in California and l’m in bed ready to read to myself. Earlier l read The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and The Princess and the Pea to my granddaughters. They’re now tucked in and asleep. They are having a sleep-over at our Airbnb. They love the bunkbeds in the 2nd bedroom!
Dinner was kid’s choice - grilled cheese, fries, apples, ice cream.
Other activity - for family movie night we watched Christmas at Mistletoe Farm - 3rd time this season…

Completely forgot to update on Friday and Saturday’s reading.
Ive been reading Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens and am on the final stretch. Planning to finish it before the end of the day (and year).
Not a ton of reading time as I’ve been doing laundry, trying to exercise, placing ads for stuff I don’t need/use, and generally wasting time online.

Being lazy this weekend--meaning doing almost nothing but reading! I should be taking down Christmas, but I don't wanna!
FRIDAY/SATURDAY DECEMBER 29/30
Books read from: 1) H is for Hawk, 2) Life and Death in Rebel Prisons: Giving a Complete History of the Inhuman and Barbarous Treatment of Our Brave Soldiers by Rebel Authorities, ... Ga., and Florence, S. C (Civil War) 3) One of my many vintage cookbooks, have flipped through it 3-4 times and have selected 2 recipes to cook this coming week--Mashpee Baptist Church, Mashpee, Mass 1979
Books finished:
Time reading: 5 hours 20 minutes
Time posting: 2 minutes
Snacks: not really a snacker since losing 105 pounds--Friday dinner-bison burgers and all the trimmings, Saturday-Ham/Spinach Quiche, Sunday-roast beef/potatoes/carrots/green beans
Thoughts: post from FB "Dependence begets subservience" Thomas Jefferson
Non-book activities: 1) returned two Christmas purchases to Kohl's for the correct size, stopped at a friends to pick up 2 gallons of grape juice--going to make grape jelly. Not really a jelly fan (or grape fan!), prefer jam....but it's free and my hubby will like it.

Sunday morning update:
I finally felt well enough to read yesterday afternoon and evening, and I read several chapters of Murder at Morija. Still reading it this morning.
I've had a cold/upper respiratory infection for the last 10 days and it finally seems to be breaking up this morning. I'm doing my best to stay hydrated, so the menu includes lots of liquids - orange juice, club soda and lime juice, iced tea, hot chicken broth, and hot tea. Santa brought me two tea assortments so that's coming in handy! I ate the last of the cranberry sauce with vanilla yogurt for breakfast, and also had a slice of sourdough bread with homemade pimiento cheese.

Final update for this long weekend since tomorrow is a workday for me. I read about 50 pages of The Bookseller of Inverness this morning. Hope to do some more reading of the same book before I go to bed.

I read some from Equal Rites and some from Second Stage Lensman both.
I picked up Everything I need to know I learned in Kindergarten, deciding that rather than just read the essay I pulled it out for, I am actually going to re-read the whole book this year.
