Non-Resident Library Options

Last year I paid a nominal fee to check out books from the Brooklyn library. Does anyone know of other well-endowed librarys to consider using?

This would be for audio, or e-books.

I've personally only tried the Queens Public Library ($50/year), but here's a list of libraries potentially offering a similar service.
