What's everyone doing for the bank holiday? Anyone working or going away?
I'm doing a bit of both. I'm going to Malham tonight until Monday but I've been off work with a bad back so I won't be walking like the rest of the party are so I'm taking my laptop and I'm going to write my school reports.
Everyone else?

Where's Malham?
My plans are a little vague at the moment:
Saturday - concert at the Festival Hall in the evening with a friend who is coming up from Brighton for the day.
Sunday - possbily Middlesex v Surrey at Lord's, especially if it is warm and the pollen count manageable.
Monday - meeting a friend for lunch, then possibly the Vanity Fair portraits at the National Portrait Gallery.
It is conceivable that bookshops might be fitted in somewhere. Possibly.
Hope your back eases up.

Malham is in the Dales. Very nice it is too. Although not being able to go out walking would kill a lot of the enjoyment.

You could go visit the Center for Management Creativity at Malham Tarn, last time I was there they had quite an interesting little library, not sure they are open to casual visitors though.

Hope you found the furniture Lyzzy.
I didn't get as far as Malham Tarn although the others did. I had just as nice a weekend as they did though. We all went into Skipton yesterday afternoon and did a bit shopping. Other than that when they went out on Saturday I did a little bit of work and relaxed with a book.
Hope everyone else has had a good weekend.

No, we didn't quite, but we did establish what we wanted, exactly, which is a start.
We *did* manage to buy and fit a new toilet seat - whoo hoo!

Yep, decent weekend, except my team, Middlesex, lost rather feebly to our cross town rivals Surrey. Did everything else I wanted to too.

It's been really nice all week so far as well, nice continuation of the bank holiday weather.

Booked a holiday and bought a raincoat (not connected!) in the morning, lovely sushi lunch to celebrate OH having his contract extended at work, BookCrossing meetup this afternoon, watching Eurovision tonight.
Tomorrow and Monday - more restful, we just need to change the fish water, I want to do the looking up in reference books for our current Iris Murdoch A Month reading project, and of course... some actual READING!
