Mars started singing along to the music, "Everything's been so messed up here lately..."

Iris turned to Mars, and sat behind her silently.

Mars kept singing, painting what looked like Iris, again.

Iris watched, and smiled, not quite realizing it herself. She tapped Mars’s shoulder playfully.

She told the barista your order, including a cappuccino for herself.

Mars smiled, "Thanks Iris"

She looked around, "Want to sit down while we wait?"

“Sure, though it shouldn’t be long.”, She said, picking out a table. “This one ok?”

She pulled out your chair, before sitting in her own.

Mars sat down, grabbing out her phone and getting onto an art app.

Iris pulled out a book from her bag. Based off the cover, it seemed to be a true crime book. She read silently, stealing glances across the table every now and then.

Mars seemed busy, drawing the coffee shop & the people inside.

She looked at Mars again, a little to long this time.

Mars looked up, putting her phone down. "Did you need something?"

Iris flinched. “S-sorry”, she said before turning back to her book. She felt blush creeping up her neck.

"Its fine" she said, picking her phone back up as her phone turned back on, showing her homescreen which was Iris.

Iris saw it, and her face turned red. She tried to cover her face with her book. Then the barista called out their order. Iris quickly stood up, making a noise as the chair slid back. “I-I’ll get it!”, She said before speedwalking to the counter.

Mars nodded, getting out of the chair.

“Here’s your latte!”, Iris said, a little louder than she meant to.

Mars flinched a little, taking the latte. "Thanks Iris!"

As Mars took the drink, their hands touched. Iris hands lingered do the cup, savoring the moment.

Mars looked down at the cup, chuckling, a little embarrassed.

She removed her hands. “Sorry again…”

"Its fine Iris" She said, taking the cup.

She sipped her cappuccino, avoiding looking at you.

She sipped the latte, smiling "This is really good"

“I heard a lot of good things about this place, so I wanted to check it out!”

"Seems like it was a good idea" Mars said, opening her phone again.

“Mm…”, said Iris. She looked at your lockscreen again, feeling a bit distracted.

"Oh...if you want me to change it i can..." Mars said, very embarrassed.

“Uh- no! I’m sorry! It’s lovely!”, Iris stammered.

Iris went back to her book, careful not to look at Mars.

Mars started coloring the outline she had made, trying to get all the colors correct.

She sipped her cappuccino, looking at Mars accidentally.

Mars was busy making the finer details of the cafe, laughing a little.

Iris smiled, looking at her book. Mars’s laughter rang like bells.

She started making the people's faces and hair.

Soon after, Iris turned the last page of her book. She walked over to your side of the table, putting her hand in your shoulder without realizing it. “What are you drawing?”, She asked, before moving her hand away from you.

"Oh, im drawing the cafe, and the people in it" Mars said, grinning as she showed Iris.

As Iris looked at the drawing, as her face lightened. “Amazing… I wish I could draw like that!”, She said, her expression full of awe. It was nice Iris returned to her normal self, before she seemed… Off. More nervous than normal.

"You seemed nervous earlier, can I know why?" She asked.

Iris flinched, her nervous expression returning. “N-no reason!”

Iris stared at you for a long time. She looked like a toddler who’d been caught misbehaving. She silently returned to her seat.

Mars laughed a little, sitting back down.

“W-why are you laughing? Did I do something? I’m sorry!”, She stammered, her face turning red.

Iris stood up, throwing hers away as she opened the door for you.
