Did you think it was a police sting in chapter one, or did you think Kim was a real victim? Any clues?

I believe it was a police sting in chapter one as there was amusement and laughter among her team. Kim smiled as she walked away and her work here was done.

In no way could I imagine Kim being a victim so it had to be pre-planned.

At first I thought it was real, but then realised it must be a sting when Kim didn’t fight back, that just wasn’t her style.

Initially I did think it was a real situation and was surprised by the twist, so a good way to be introduced to DI Stone for this new reader.

I didn’t buy for a second that Kim would be walking alone through a deserted industrial site at night wearing 4” heels and not use them as a weapon to confront her pursuer. It had to be a setup.

I realized it was a sting as soon as we learned she was in those high heels 😂. Definitely not Kim’s style.
